Overview

The International Chess Club CCA offers students the opportunity to learn and improve their chess playing skills. It aims to nurture students’ interest in chess and help them develop a range of skills such as critical thinking, visualisation and strategic planning, while fostering character traits such as sportsmanship and resilience.

Learning Outcomes

By participating in the International Chess Club CCA, students will be able to:

Know basic rules and strategies of chess.
Think critically, analyze situations, anticipate consequences and form long-term plans.
Demonstrate sportsmanship in accepting losses, being gracious in victory and maintaining respectful behaviour towards opponents.
